BREAD CLASSES
"I am going to learn to make bread tomorrow. So you may imagine me with my sleeves rolled up, mixing flour, milk, saleratus, etc., with a deal of grace. I advise you if you don't know how to make the staff of life to learn with dispatch."
- Emily Dickinson
Breads of the Mediterranean
This class will break new ground and explore some new recipes you are sure to enjoy even if you took classes with Don before. New students can join the fun too, and each week's bread will be a surprise! Examples might include the ancient Sardinian pane carasau, a Sicilian sesame scroll, Greek olive loaf, Spanish breakfast spirals, or classic Turkish pita pockets perfect for sandwiches.
This is a “participation type” course; each student will take home a loaf of bread or batch of rolls fresh-from-the-oven. Session count varies by term.
